Realise Futures Fulfilment wins contract to pack for Adnams

19 April 2018

Social enterprise Realise Futures has been awarded a contract to package beer and gift packs on behalf of well-known Suffolk brand Adnams.

Realise Futures Fulfilment operates out of a factory in Lovetofts Drive in Ipswich, and it trades with a social mission to support people who are disadvantaged and/or disabled.

The team has been packing Adnams beer, chutney and glasses, to fulfil gift pack orders on behalf of the company.

Operations Manager Lee Caraccio said: “We receive Adnams products along with flat-pack boxes and it’s the team’s job to make up the gift packs, label them and load them on pallets. All the team are proud to be packing for such a great Suffolk brand like Adnams. We are especially looking forward to doing Father’s Day gift packs in a few months’ time.”

He added: “Our speciality is doing this type of work and our customers not only appreciate that this is a job they can easily outsource to us – enabling them to concentrate on what they are good at - but they also see the value of the work we do in helping people who are disabled or disadvantaged.”

Adnams Operations Manager Nathan Bartlett said: “We started working with Realise Futures last year when we had a significant re-pack job come in and it required a quick turnaround, which we were unable to fulfil internally.  Realise Futures were able to facilitate this for us at short notice and worked to our exact specification.

Since then we have worked together on several gift pack projects.

“Lee and the team have always been extremely accommodating, helpful and professional.  It’s a pleasure to work with local organisations which have a similar ethos to Adnams regarding social responsibility and supporting local communities. Long may this continue.”

Realise Futures Fulfilment works for a range of local and national of companies including Creative Cosmetics and Pets Choice packaging up items, some of which are shipped abroad from Felixstowe.

The company offers work placements, employment and training opportunities to people who have been long-term unemployed, have had health conditions which have made it difficult for them to sustain employment, or who are disabled and/or disadvantaged. It also helps them progress with learning and development opportunities.
