Story Sacks (Without Children Attending)

Summary
A story sack is a large cloth bag containing a child’s favourite book with supporting materials to help develop children’s language skills. This course will take parents/carers through the process of making a story sack for their child whilst also learning about the impact this can have on a child’s developing English skills.
Outcomes
- Find out what story sacks are and how to use them effectively with your child
- Find out how using story sacks can support your child’s communication, language and literacy skills
- Make a unique story sack to use with your child to support their development
- Discuss experiences with other parents
- This course takes 6, 10, 15 hours to complete. (Usually 2, 2.5 or 3 hours per week).
Children do not attend in this version of the course.
