Summary
Get Ready for Digital Skills is an assessment session designed to give you the opportunity to demonstrate your current digital skills to help us understand your strengths, identify areas where you may need further support and to explore your personal goals. On completion, we will ensure that you are placed on to the most suitable digital skills course allowing you to progress at the right level towards your learning, employment or personal goals.
Outcomes
- Complete an initial and diagnostic assessment in digital skills to evaluate your current strengths and possible areas for development
- Understand how the available courses are structured from entry level through to Level 2, learning about course duration and content
- Complete a learner profile to help us understand areas such as your previous experience, learning preferences and personal goals
Progression
The Get Ready is the first step towards starting a digital skills course. Digital skills courses are designed to focus on your skills gaps, supporting you to make progress on a range of courses, including towards a qualification, where appropriate. The following courses are available to progress onto:
- Tablet Course
- Starting Out in Digital Skills
- Get Going in Digital Skills (Entry 3)
- Digital Skills for the Office (Level 1)
- Digital Skills for the Office (Level 2) Word, Excel and PowerPoint
